春節(jié)趣聞：春聯(lián)也有英文滴？

貼春聯(lián)是咱們中華民族過(guò)春節(jié)的傳統(tǒng)習(xí)俗。你見(jiàn)過(guò)英文的春聯(lián)嗎？最近，李開(kāi)復(fù)在微博上貼了一副英文的春聯(lián)。如圖所示：

上聯(lián)是：Eat well sleep well have fun day by day.
下聯(lián)是：Study hard work hard make money more and more.
橫批：Gelivable.

連我們門上貼的“福”都是用Luck 來(lái)寫(xiě)的。

上下聯(lián)都是中補(bǔ)結(jié)構(gòu)的短語(yǔ)，可以說(shuō)是把英文和中文的文化很好的結(jié)合在了一起。不過(guò)我們中文的“福”字所代表的含義，總覺(jué)得一個(gè)luck 還不能很好的概括出來(lái)。

春聯(lián)的英文表達(dá)：

春聯(lián)：Spring Festival Scrolls

這里的“scroll”指的就是“卷軸；畫(huà)卷”，比如說(shuō)：Most Chinese pictures are painted on silk scrolls.（中國(guó)畫(huà)大都是畫(huà)在絹卷軸上的。）同時(shí)，它還可以表示“名冊(cè)”的意思，比如說(shuō)：be entered in the scrolls of history（名垂史冊(cè)）

那么，“上聯(lián)”、“下聯(lián)”、“橫批”又該怎么說(shuō)呢？

可不能把“上”、“下”直譯成“up”和“down”喲。事實(shí)上，我們“the left scroll”、“the right scroll”、以及“the top scroll”來(lái)分別指這三個(gè)意思。

除去“春聯(lián)”，一般性的“對(duì)聯(lián)”，我們叫做“couplet”，表示的就是通常說(shuō)的“對(duì)句”啦。所以，“春聯(lián)”還可以叫做“Spring Festival Couplets”喲。比如人民網(wǎng)中這樣描述春聯(lián)：

Spring Festival couplets consist of two paper scrolls, inscribed with auspicious sayings, pasted vertically on either side of the door. A shorter horizontal scroll is often pasted across the top. Like images of door gods, Spring Festival couplets were thought to protect the household from evil.
