341　ask, ask for和ask sb. for

1　表示“詢問”時，只能用ask ，不可用ask for。

比較

She asked for the price of the eggs. （誤）

She asked the price of the eggs. （正）她詢問雞蛋的價格。

2　ask 可以跟雙賓語，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

ask sb. +sth.

ask sth. of sb.

I asked some questions to her. （誤） （不可說ask sth. to sb.）

I asked her some questions. （正）

I asked some questions of her. （正）我向她提了幾個問題 。

3　ask for sb. 意為“要見某人”。

Someone at the door is asking for you. 門口有人要見你。

Did anyone ask for me? 有人來找過我嗎？

4　ask for sth. 意為“要”，其賓語可以是具體事物或抽象事物。而ask 的賓語多為抽象事物，如advice, favour, help等。

She asked me for my telephone number. 她要我的電話號碼。

He asked for some water. 他要些水 。（不可用ask ）

He asked for your address. 他要你的地址 。（不可用ask ）

He asked for some money. 他要些錢 。（不可用ask ）

She asked his advice .她征求他的意見 。（可用ask for ）

He asked a favour of me. 他請求我?guī)兔?。（可用ask for ）

She asked help. 她請求幫助 。（可用ask for ）

ask后可接從句，從句的謂語動詞要用shall, should或用動詞原形。
