1　hundred （百），thousand （千） 和million （百萬） 這幾個(gè)詞，前面有具體數(shù)詞，表示確指數(shù)目 時(shí)，要用單數(shù)形式，后面也不可用of 短語；前面沒有具體數(shù)詞，表示概指 時(shí)，要用復(fù)數(shù)形式，后面加of 短語，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

確指數(shù)詞+hundred/ thousand/ million+被修飾的名詞→……百／千／百萬個(gè)……

hundreds/ thousands/ millions of+被修飾的名詞→幾百個(gè)／幾千個(gè)／幾百萬個(gè)……

She has five hundred books. 她有500本書 。（確指 ）

She has hundreds of books. 她有好幾百本書 。（泛指 ）

Three thousand people were present at the meeting. 3 000人參加了那次會(huì)議 。

Thousands of people died in the war. 成千上萬的人在那場(chǎng)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中死去了 。

2　“一百”可以說a hundred 或one hundred ，一般情況下用a hundred ，表示連貫的計(jì)數(shù)或比較時(shí)則要用one hundred 。

It will cost about a hundred dollars. 它大約要花一百美元。

The boy can count from one to one hundred . 這男孩能從1數(shù)到100。

The hill is over one hundred meters high. 這座小山有100多米高。
