A: How do you dispose of the waste in your factory?

A:你們?nèi)绾翁幚砉S廢物？

B: We try to recycle as much as we can.

B:我們盡可能對(duì)其進(jìn)行再循環(huán)利用。

A:What about the rest? How do you get rid of it?

A:剩余的的廢物呢？你如何處理？

B: We have to send it to landfill. It's very expensive because the government recently introduced a landfill tax so we're planning to build a new incineration plant next year to burn our waste.

B:我們須對(duì)其進(jìn)行掩埋處理。這需要的費(fèi)用非常高，因?yàn)檎罱肜诼穸悾虼宋覀冇?jì)劃明年修建一個(gè)新的焚化廠來(lái)焚燒我們的廢物。

A: But doesn't incineration produce carbon monoxide?

A:但是焚化不會(huì)產(chǎn)生一氧化碳嗎？

B:Yes, you're right, it does. But we believe it's less harmful to the environment than landfill

B:是，說(shuō)的對(duì)，會(huì)產(chǎn)生。但是我們認(rèn)為這比掩埋法對(duì)環(huán)境造成的損害要小。
