2）嘴瓢：a slip of the tongue.

【Example】

I had no intentions of saying that. It was a slip of the tongue.我無意這么說，只是嘴瓢了。

A slip of the tongue at the conference resulted in a big loss. 會(huì)議上的口誤造成了很大的損失。

It was a slip of the tongue.我只是不小心說錯(cuò)了。

3）說錯(cuò)話：put one’s foot in one’s mouth

當(dāng)你說了something embarrassing or stupid（令人尷尬的話），事后，和比較親近的人提及時(shí)，你可以用這個(gè)說法自嘲。

【Example】

I really put my foot in my mouth when I asked if her sister was her mother. 我問她姐姐是不是她媽媽時(shí)，我真是太蠢了。

4）筆誤：typo / misprint

typo：typographical error的縮寫

misprint：用于正式的場合（formal occasion），比如newspaper misprint

5）口誤: misspeak

I either misheard you or you misspoke. 不是我聽錯(cuò)了，就是你說錯(cuò)了。

6）任何錯(cuò)：faux pas (來自法語)

【Example】

He made a faux pas when he said all women should stay home and take care of the kids.
