用心回答問題 Handling Questions with Care

回答問題是演講成功的關(guān)鍵(major key)之一,因?yàn)橥ㄟ^問答階段(Q & A session),聽眾就能夠發(fā)現(xiàn)你對(duì)主題的了解和應(yīng)用程度。

說明提問時(shí)間

在演講之初就應(yīng)該說明提問時(shí)間。演講過程中的插話會(huì)拖延時(shí)間,分散重心(harder to keep focused),但如果加以利用,就可以使講演更有互動(dòng)性,更有趣(interactive and more interesting)。

☉We’ll have a question and answer period at the end, so if you’ll please hold your questions until then.

在接近尾聲的時(shí)候會(huì)有問答時(shí)間,您可以把您的問題保留到那個(gè)時(shí)候。

☉Feel free to ask questions at any time.

如果有問題隨時(shí)提問。

☉There will be time for questions at the end of every section, so please feelfree to ask questions when we come to the end of each item.

每個(gè)段落結(jié)束的時(shí)候都會(huì)有提問時(shí)間,所以在每一項(xiàng)結(jié)尾的時(shí)候盡管提問。

應(yīng)對(duì)復(fù)雜問題

提前準(zhǔn)備若干可能問及的問題,將復(fù)雜問題分解依次回答(tackle difficult questions one part at a time)。如果有人一次問了3個(gè)或者4個(gè)問題,別恐慌(panic)?;卮饐栴}的第一部分,然后再請(qǐng)他們重復(fù)第二個(gè)問題。一次回答一個(gè)問題(one at a time)就沒有那么復(fù)雜,而且效果也會(huì)很好。

注意傾聽問題

仔細(xì)傾聽提問者的問題,并且給足時(shí)間來完成提問表達(dá)。如果有必要,你可以請(qǐng)他重述問題(restate the question),保證理解他的問題內(nèi)容,尤其是當(dāng)問題比較復(fù)雜,或者所在會(huì)議室很大,不是所有的聽眾都能聽清問題的時(shí)候。

所以您是想問……對(duì)嗎?

永遠(yuǎn)支持發(fā)問

講演者在評(píng)論問題時(shí)可能在毫無意識(shí)的情況下發(fā)表一些有傷害意味的言論(unintentionally hurtful)。在某人發(fā)問后,你說“好問題”的時(shí)候要多加小心,因?yàn)閷?duì)一個(gè)人說過就得對(duì)其他人也這么說,否則會(huì)被誤認(rèn)為后面的問題沒有前面的好。

要回答您的問題……

回答簡(jiǎn)明了當(dāng),不必虛張聲勢(shì)

最好別給一個(gè)冗長(zhǎng)的答復(fù)(longwinded answers),越是簡(jiǎn)短,就越容易記住。同樣,如果你不知道怎樣回答,也不必虛張聲勢(shì)(don’t bluff)。簡(jiǎn)單說句“我不清楚”,無論如何都要給出答復(fù),并且越快越好(ASAP)。有時(shí)候會(huì)后給出答案比當(dāng)下解決問題要好,因?yàn)檫@樣可以和提問者建立積極的關(guān)系(build a positive relationship)。

☉To be honest, I’m not really sure about the answer to your question.

老實(shí)說,對(duì)于您問題的答案,我不是很肯定。

☉I don’t know the answer to your question, but I can find out and get back to you about it.

我不知道您問題的答案是什么,但是我會(huì)找出來并且回復(fù)您。

之所以要用心應(yīng)對(duì)聽眾的提問,是因?yàn)閱栴}是對(duì)講演者真才實(shí)學(xué)的考核,也是將演講內(nèi)容的“認(rèn)識(shí)”和切實(shí)問題的“實(shí)踐”相結(jié)合,讓聽眾心服口服的捷徑。有些問題是可以提前準(zhǔn)備好答案的,那會(huì)得心應(yīng)手許多;有些則需要認(rèn)真傾聽,臨場(chǎng)應(yīng)對(duì)。即便是遇到無法回答的問題,也應(yīng)該如實(shí)相告,盡可能多地在互動(dòng)中體現(xiàn)尊重和真誠(chéng)。

A:Yes, well, as individuals, we have to learn to live within our means and support small businesses. That will jump start the economy in a grassroots kind of way.Does that answer your question?
