The President of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has been arrested along with his Prime Minister in a coup attempt. They've been held at a military base near the capital Bamako, where there has been recent anger of the government over army pay and the continuing conflict with Jihadists. The move has been condemned by Mali's west African neighbors and United Nations secretary of general.

The disputed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has accused the opposition of attempting to overthrow him by setting up a coordination council to facilitate a transfer of power. He's threated action against the 35 members appointed by his main opponent Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

The Postmaster General of the United States has said he's suspending changes to the postal service, which had led to claims that he was trying to interfere in November’s presidential election to benefit President Trump. The Democrats said the announcement does nothing to reverse the damages that 've already been done.

The special court found Hezbollah defendant guilty but acquitted three others. Mr.Hariri 's son Saad said everybody's expectation has been higher than the outcome.

And a man in Chile has been pictured delivering foods to homeless people in the capital Santiago were dressed up as Batman, wearing the superhero suit, his face covered by both a bat helmet and the coronavirus mask. The unidentified man has been handing out cook meals every night.
