（1）特殊疑問句須轉(zhuǎn)換成陳述句語序，不用倒裝或疑問語序
a. There arose the question where we could get the loan.
問題來了：我們從哪里弄到這筆貸款。
b. I have no idea when he will return .
我不知道他何時回來。
c. Why he refused to cooperate with us is still a mystery.
他為什么拒絕與我們合作，這還是個謎。
上面的句子我們不能說成：
There arose the question where could we get the loan.*
I have no idea when will he return.*
Why did he refuse to cooperate with us is still a mystery.*
（2）充當四種句子成分
1）主語從句
a. What happened on the morning of September 11, 2001 will be forever etched（銘刻） in our memories.
2001年9月11日上午發(fā)生的事（9·11事件）將會永遠印刻在人們的記憶中。
b. What we need is a CEO like Steve Jobs, who is with great foresight.
我們需要一位像史蒂夫·喬布斯這樣高瞻遠矚的首席執(zhí)行官。
c. What he told you is true.
他告訴你的是真的。
d. Who will chair the meeting has not been decided yet.
由誰來主持會議尚未決定。
e. When the meeting is to be held has not yet been decided.
會議何時舉行還沒決定。
f.How a person masters his fate is more important than what his fate is.
對于一個人來說，重要的是如何掌握自己的命運而不是糾結(jié)于命運本身。
2）賓語從句
a. The mother will buy whichever books her son wants.
不論兒子喜歡哪本書，那位母親都會買下。
b. You should vote for which candidate you assume best.
你應(yīng)該把票投給你最看好的候選人。
c. I have not decided whom I should vote for .
我還沒決定把票投給誰。
d. They gave who came to the meeting a pamphlet.
他們給與會者分發(fā)了小冊子。
e. Could you tell me where the post office is?
請問郵局怎么走？
f.We don’t know why he did not come yesterday.
我們不知道他昨天為什么沒來。
3）表語從句
a. Change is what keeps us fresh and innovative. Change is what keeps us from getting stale. Change is what keeps us young.
唯有變革才能使我們保持思維敏銳，富有創(chuàng)造性；唯有變革才能防止我們思想僵化；唯有變革才能使我們永葆青春。
b. The point is whose book is the most interesting.
重點是誰的書最有趣。
c. Money is what we are badly in need of.
我們急需的是錢。
d. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present!
昨天已成為歷史。明天還是個謎。今天是一件禮物。因此它才被稱為“present” ！
e. The point is when you will become rich.
問題是你什么時候才會變得富有。

4）同位語從句
a. I have no idea who he is.
我不認識他。
b. The question who should go abroad on this business tour requires consideration.
派誰去國外出差這個問題還有待商榷。
c. I have no idea when he will return.
我不知道他什么時候回來。
d. There arose the question where we could get the loan.
那么問題來了：我們從哪里弄到這筆貸款。
