（1）一般疑問(wèn)句要變成陳述語(yǔ)序，并且用whether或if來(lái)作引導(dǎo)詞
1）主語(yǔ)從句
Whether he comes or not makes no difference to me.
他來(lái)不來(lái)對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)無(wú)所謂。
2）賓語(yǔ)從句
I don’t know if/whether he needs my help.
我不知道他是否需要我?guī)兔Α?br /> 3）表語(yǔ)從句
My concern is whether he comes or not.
我關(guān)心的是他到底來(lái)不來(lái)。
4）同位語(yǔ)從句
They are faced with the problem whether they should continue to work.
他們面臨是否應(yīng)該繼續(xù)干下去這個(gè)問(wèn)題。
（2）引導(dǎo)詞用if還是whether
1）if一般只用于引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句，而whether可引導(dǎo)包括賓語(yǔ)從句在內(nèi)的各種名詞從句。
a. If he comes or not makes no difference.* （不用if引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句）
b. The question is if he will come.* （不用if引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句）
2）if不和or not直接連用，即一般不說(shuō)if or not，但可以說(shuō)if…or not。而whether沒(méi)有此限制。
a. I don’t know if or not he will come.*
b. I don’t know whether or not he will come.
