拋招：We'd be tickled pink if you'd come along. 如果你來，我們會非常高興的。

注釋1：come along：一起來

Eg. Come along, you two love-birds! 快點吧，你們這一對恩愛情侶!Eg. Come along or we'll be late. 快點兒吧，要不然就遲到了。Eg. Will you come along with me? 你愿意和我一起來嗎?

拋招：He was tickled pink at the idea of taking a month's holiday at the expense of his company. 他一想到公司出錢讓他去旅游，他非常高興。

注釋1：at the idea of：一想起 ... 就

Eg. He laughed accordingly at the idea of Mr. Arabin's modesty. 他想到Mr. Arabin的謙虛謹(jǐn)慎，就覺得好笑。

Eg. Catherine ran wild with joy at the idea of welcoming her father back. 凱瑟琳一想到要歡迎她父親回來，就欣喜若狂。

注釋2：at the expense of：由…付費，由…負(fù)擔(dān)費用;以 ... 作為代價

Eg. He refused to travel at the expense of the company and paid for the trip himself. 他不肯由公司出錢供他旅行,而是自己付了旅費。

Eg. He built up a successful business but it was all done at the expense of his health. 他創(chuàng)建的企業(yè)很成功, 但這一切卻損害了他的健康。

Eg. He was continually coming to her with some tale or other, by which he might creep into favour at the expense of persons maligned. 他以往總是在不斷地向她散播流言蜚語，中傷別人，企圖以此博得她的好感。

注釋3：take a holiday：度假;休假 take a + 時間 + holiday：度多久的假期，休多久的假

接招：在上面的例句中都用到了同樣一個詞語：tickled pink。這是一個形容詞性短語。詞語中tickled是tickle的過去分詞。Tickle是“使高興”“使快樂”“逗樂”的意思。那么，tickled則是“感到快樂的”“感到高興的”意思。Pink是“粉紅色”“桃紅色”的意思。英美人將這2個詞組合在一起來表示“very pleased，delighted”(萬分高興，快樂)的意思。
