英語早間課堂:與老外聊春節(jié) 打掃房屋

這是一個(gè)介詞短語，相當(dāng)于come back to，意思是追溯到，回顧到。我們來看下面的2個(gè)例句：This temple has a long history, dating back to the early period of the Tang Dynasty. 這座寺廟歷史悠久，可追溯到初唐時(shí)代。An American tradition dating back to early times is Thanksgiving. 感恩節(jié)是可以追溯到早期的一個(gè)美國傳統(tǒng)。

2. Be associated with

這是一個(gè)形容詞性短語，相當(dāng)于be connected with，意思是與......相關(guān)，與......有關(guān)系。我們來看下面的2個(gè)例子：We are proud to be associated with such a distinguished organization. 我們?yōu)槟芘c如此卓越的組織合作而深感驕傲!Health is really associated with happiness. 健康的確與快樂有關(guān)系。

3. With joy

這是一個(gè)介詞短語，相當(dāng)于happily，意思是高興地，快樂地。我們來看下面的例句：Her eyes lit up with joy. 她因喜悅而目光炯炯。(備注：Lit up既有點(diǎn)燈的意思，還有“使快活”的意思。例如：A rare smile lit up his stern features. 他那難得一見的微笑在他死板的臉上平添一些生氣。A few faint gleams of sunshine lit up the gloomy afternoon. 有幾束隱約的陽光使陰暗的下午有些明亮。)Her eyes sparkled with joy. 她高興得兩眼閃光。His heart bounded with joy. 他高興得心頭砰砰直跳。

4. In the hope of

這是一個(gè)介詞短語，相當(dāng)于hope, expect，意思是期待著，希望。我們來看下面的2個(gè)例子： I went to London in the hope of meeting some friends. 我去倫敦希望能見到幾個(gè)朋友。He went to America in the hope of being a famous painter. 他去了美國，希望能成為一個(gè)著名的畫家。
