In fact, we have much more colourful expressions to give a description of your state of unhappiess. So, let's move to the third lecture in Lesson Fifteen.
1. under the weather The argument put me under the weather. 這場(chǎng)爭(zhēng)論使我心情很糟糕。
2. in a bad temper ( have a bad temper )The heavy work has put our father in a bad temper, so we shouldn't get his shirt off any more. 繁重的工作已經(jīng)使我們的父親的心境很糟了,我們就不要再惹他生氣了。
注解:get one's shirt off 惹怒某人 put somebody + 介詞短語(yǔ) 使某人感覺到......
3. in ill humour (out of humour)You must be in ill humour to be so cross about so small a thing.
你一定是心情不好才為一件小事而發(fā)這么大的氣。
注解:be cross (with sombody) about something =be angry with somebody about something, be mad at somebody about something)4. out of sortsThe boss is out of sorts at the moment and you'd better not ask for trouble. 老板此刻情緒不好,因此,你最好不要自找麻煩。

注解:put a stop 收斂,停止 put a top on something 停止,收斂某事 put a strain on somebody 使某人感到負(fù)擔(dān),受到負(fù)擔(dān)的影響 put pressure on somebody 使某人感到壓力,收到壓力的影響6. feel blue (feel down)She seemed to feel a bit down this morning.
她今早看起來(lái)有點(diǎn)怏怏不樂。
注解:feel blue 和feel down中feel是系動(dòng)詞,blue是形容詞做表語(yǔ),down是副詞做表語(yǔ)。
