[單詞詳解] snobbish [?sn?bi?] 這個(gè)詞的英式發(fā)英和美式發(fā)音區(qū)別很大，美式發(fā)音為[?sna:bi?]。此外這個(gè)詞還有個(gè)非正式寫法是：snobby [?sn?bi? 。{ 中英雙解} It means " feeling that you are more intelligent than other people ". 譯為：自命不凡的，高傲的。{例句}She is too snobbish as she works very hard and her grades are excellent，which makes her not to make friends with anyone in her class. 由于她學(xué)習(xí)非常努力，成績(jī)格外優(yōu)秀，所以她非常地高傲，這使得她不愿意和班上任何人交朋友。
{視野拓展}However, another meaning of this word is much more widely used. 但是這個(gè)詞的另一個(gè)意思更為用得廣泛。What's it?
