詞組講解

1. get the runaround **聽到各種借口，受到推諉或搪塞，被騙

解 習(xí)語；詞義溯源：得到［借口、推諉、搪塞、欺騙（runaround）］；give sb. the runaround表示“想方設(shè)法推諉”

例 You'll never find out who ordered the police to raid your building. If you inquire, you'll just get the runaround. They'll just send you from office to office and you'll never get the answer.
