詞組講解

1. get around ***到處走走；逃避；說服

解 〈口〉短語動詞；詞義溯源：［到處、四處（around）］走；也可以暗指性經(jīng)驗，因此使用時要格外注意；參照have been around

例 When they're young and just having fun, some guys like a girl who gets around. But when it comes to marriage, all men prefer a woman who's lived a more traditional lifestyle.

2. get 〔have〕 at sb. or sth. ***攻擊；暗示；理解；著手做；夠得著

解 〈口〉短語動詞；詞義溯源：［向著（at）］某人或某物而去；參照go at sth.

例 Try using a ladder. If you can't get at it with a ladder, then just forget it—we'll buy a new ball. Eventually the wind will blow that one out of the tree anyway.

3. get away from it all / get away **逃離，擺脫；度假

解 習語；詞義溯源：使處于［遠離（away）］所有一切的狀態(tài)

例 Ten more days to my vacation! Two weeks in Samel, Wisconsin where the most exciting thing that ever happens is a cow escapes a farm! Two weeks of peace and quiet where I can get away from it all.

4. get away with sth. ***（做了壞事卻）逃避責任，逍遙法外；攜帶…逃亡

解 短語動詞；詞義溯源：盡管［有（with）］某事（通常是壞事），卻走［到遠處（away）］

例 You may have gotten away with hitting younger boys at your last school, Tommy Jones. But at this school we take a very stern view of that kind of behavior. Understand me? If I catch you hitting anybody again, I will personally administer your punishment. Now get out of here!

5. get back at sb. ***報復(fù)

解 短語動詞；詞義溯源：來到［原來的位置（back）］

例 It's been three years since they fired me. They've completely forgotten about me. But I haven't forgotten anything. I will get back at them—soon, very soon.
