v. as用于固定短語中

1. as if/though意為“好像……”。

1）引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句，當(dāng)與事實(shí)不符合時，從句用虛擬語氣。

She loved the child as if he were her son .

她愛那個孩子，就好像他是她的兒子。

I remember the whole thing as if it happened yesterday.

我記得整個事件，就好像是昨天發(fā)生的似的。

當(dāng)主句主語與從句主語一致，且從句謂語含有be時，可省去從句的主語和be。

He searched here and there, as if looking for something .

他四處搜尋，好像在找什么東西。

She walked as if drunk .

她走起路來好像喝醉了。

He opened his mouth from time to time as if to speak .

他再三張開嘴好像要說什么似的。

2）引導(dǎo)表語從句。

He looked as though he were ill.

他看起來好像生病了。

It seems as if we shall have to go home on foot.

似乎我們不得不步行回家了。

2. as/so long as意為“只要”。

As long as you put your heart to it, English is easy to learn.

只要你用心，英語很容易學(xué)。

The child feels free as long as class is over.

只要一下課，那個孩子就覺得自由了。

3. as/so far as意為 “就……而論”。

As far as I know, he comes from America.

就我所知，他來自美國。

As far as I can remember , he agreed with me then.

就我所能夠記得的那樣，他當(dāng)時同意我的話。

4. as to意為“關(guān)于，至于”。

As to this topic , I'd like to say something I know about.

至于這個題目，我想說一點(diǎn)我知道的。

He asked my advice as to what to do .

關(guān)于該做什么，他征求了我的意見。

5. “so+形容詞/副詞+as to”意為“如此……以致”。

Will you be so kind as to help me out of the trouble?

求你幫我擺脫困境好嗎？

The teacher is so good as to be respected by all his students.

老師很好，受到他所有的學(xué)生的尊敬。

6. “such+形容詞+名詞+as to”意為“如此……以致”。

He is such a good person as to be ready to help others all the time.

他那么好的一個人，時刻準(zhǔn)備著幫助別人。

You can never do such a thing as to steal money from others.

你永遠(yuǎn)也不能做像偷別人錢這樣的事情。

7. as soon as意為“一……就……”。

He will be back as soon as he finishes his work.

他一做完工作就會回來的。

She left as soon as she had drunk her coffee.

她一喝完咖啡就離開了。

8. may/might/could as well意為“不妨……，不如……最好……”

You may take a raincoat as well, as it seems to rain.

你不妨帶著雨衣，天好像有雨。

You might as well take the luggage to the train for me.

你還是把行李給我?guī)У交疖嚿系暮谩?

9. as a matter of fact（事實(shí)上），as a result（結(jié)果），as ... as possible（盡可能），as usual（和往常一樣），so as to（以便），as well（同樣），as soon as possible（盡可能快），as ... as one can（某人盡可能），such as（像這樣的），as for（就……而言），as to（至于，關(guān)于），as from（從……時起）。
