1. 現(xiàn)在分詞作定語表示主動或者表示主動且動作正在進行。

The rising moon is very beautiful.

正在升起的月亮很美麗。

The students singing over there are my good friends.

那邊唱歌的學生是我的好朋友。

2. 過去分詞作定語表示被動且動作已經(jīng)完成。

The room with a broken window is mine.

有一個破窗戶的那個房間是我的。

Guests invited to the evening party were her father's colleagues.

應邀參加晚會的客人都是她父親的同事。

3. 分詞作定語往往可以用定語從句代替。

The boy (who is) standing over ther e is my close friend.

站在那邊的男孩是我的密友。

Did you see the man (who is) talking to our class teacher?

你以前見過正在與我們班主任談話的那個男人嗎？

Is this the book (which is) written by Lu Xun?

這就是魯迅寫的那本書嗎？

4. 單個分詞作前置定語, 分詞短語作后置定語。

He is a promising young man .

他是個很有前途的年輕人。

This is the very moving story told by our class teacher at yesterday's class meeting.

這就是在昨天班會上我們班主任講的那個動人故事。

5. 完成式的現(xiàn)在分詞短語不能作定語，應用過去分詞短語或者現(xiàn)在分詞或者定語從句來作定語。

The matter (which is) being discussed is of vital importance.

正在討論的這件事至關(guān)重要。

The matter discussed at the meeting is of vital importance.

The matter that has been discussed at The meeting is of vital importance.

會上已討論的這件事至關(guān)重要。
