iv. 不定式作定語

1. 不定式與所修飾的名詞成動(dòng)賓關(guān)系，不定式后接的若是不及物動(dòng)詞應(yīng)加上合適的介詞。

He is a pleasant fellow to work with.

他是一個(gè)與其工作起來令人愉快的人。

There's nothing to worry about .

沒有什么可擔(dān)心的。

There's no need to take so much money with you.

你沒有必要隨身帶那么多錢。

I have no room to live in.

我沒有房間居住。

2. 數(shù)詞和最高級(jí)修飾的名詞后常跟不定式：the first, the second, the last, the best等。不定式與所修飾的名詞在意義上構(gòu)成主謂關(guān)系。

He is always the first to answer questions in class.

他總是課堂上第一個(gè)回答問題。

He would be the last to agree to the plan.

他將是最不同意此計(jì)劃的人。

3. 有些名詞后常跟不定式：time, way, right, chance, reason等，不定式與所修飾的名詞成動(dòng)狀關(guān)系。

We have not enough time to do the job.

我們沒有足夠的時(shí)間做這項(xiàng)工作。

There's a long way to go .

還有很長(zhǎng)的路要走。

Do you have the right to treat me like this?

你有權(quán)利這樣對(duì)待我嗎？

4. 作定語的不定式，為了明確其邏輯主語，有時(shí)可用“for+名詞/代詞+to-不定式結(jié)構(gòu)”作定語。
