ix. 關(guān)于狀語從句的其他問題
1. as/so far as意為“至于……，就……”, 可以引導(dǎo)狀語從句，表示程度、范圍等。
1）as/so far as sb. know據(jù)某人所知。
2）as/so far as sb. can see在某人看來。
3）as/so far as sb. judge據(jù)某人判斷。
4）as/so far as sth./sb. be concerned就某人/某事而言，對某人/某事來說。
5）as/so far as sth. goes就某事而言。
2. 狀語從句的省略條件：
1）主從句的主語一致，從句的謂語動詞是be的某種形式
He fell off the tall tree while (he was) playing in it.
他在樹上玩的時候從上面掉了下來。
Her mother works very hard although (she is) badly ill .
她媽媽工作很努力盡管病得很厲害。
2）從句的主語是it，從句的謂語動詞是be的某種形式
If (it is) necessary I'll have the letter copied.
如果必要的話，我可以請人把這信復(fù)制一下。
If (it is) possible , I should like to have two copies of it.
可能的話我希望有兩本。
As scheduled , they met on January 20 at the Chinese Embassy.
他們按原計劃于1月20日在中國大使館見了面。
3. 幾種常見的可省略的狀語從句：
1）if/unless +主語+ be的條件狀語從句
Unless (it is) well managed, the work cannot be finished in time.
這項工作不可能如期完成，除非妥善管理。
2）although/though/even if/even though +主語+ be的讓步狀語從句
He knows a lot though (he is) a child .
盡管他是個孩子，卻知道得很多。
3）when/while/as/before/after/until/till+主語+be的時間狀語從句
Be careful when (you are) crossing the street .
過馬路的時候要當(dāng)心。
4）as/as if +主語+be的方式狀語從句
He was in a hurry as if (he was) looking for something.
他如此匆忙好像在找什么東西。
5）as/than +主語+be的比較狀語從句
They will try to put the plan into practice as quickly as (it is) possible.
他們將盡快把這個計劃付諸實施。
4. 狀語從句省略后的幾種情況：
1）連詞+形容詞（if necessary/possible, when very young, wherever possible ...）
Fill in the blanks with articles where necessary .
在空格中必要的地方填入冠詞。
2）連詞+名詞（as if a fool, although a child ...）
He always acts as if a fool .
他總是表現(xiàn)得像個傻瓜一樣。
3）連詞+分詞(when arriving, until asked to, even if invited to, than expected ...)
Don't go to the party even if invited to .
即使受到邀請也不要去參加晚會。
4）連詞+不定式（as if to speak ...）
He opened his mouth from time to time as if to speak .
他張了張嘴，好像要說什么話。
5）連詞+介詞短語（while at college, as if in search of something ...）
He looked here and there as if in search of something .
他瞧瞧這里看看那里好像找什么東西。
