ii. 地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句

1. where引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句表示特定的地點(diǎn)。

1）where = in/on/to/at the place where

You should put the book where it was .

你應(yīng)該把書(shū)本放回原處。

Go where you would like to .

你想去哪里就可以去哪里。

2）where引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句經(jīng)常在謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞后，從句前沒(méi)有先行詞。

He lives where he used to.

他就住在他原來(lái)住的地方。

3）where引導(dǎo)的地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句，從句經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)在主句前。

Where there is smoke, there's fire.

無(wú)風(fēng)不起浪。

4）在狀語(yǔ)從句中，where不能像引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句那樣可與in/on which互換。

She stayed where her father was born.

她呆在他父親的出生地。

2. wherever引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句表示非特定的地點(diǎn)。

1）wherever=in/on/to/at any place where。

You can stay wherever you want to.

你可以住在任何你想住的地方。

2）wherever可引導(dǎo)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句，也可以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。

They must go wherever we send them.

我們派他們?nèi)ツ睦?，他們就得去哪里?

Wherever you go, I go too.

無(wú)論你到什么地方，我都去。

3）引導(dǎo)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，從句總是放在主句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞后，而引導(dǎo)讓步從句時(shí)，從句總是放在主句前面。

Wherever you go , you should do your work well.

無(wú)論你到哪里，你都應(yīng)該做好工作。

3. 由-where構(gòu)成的復(fù)合詞也可以引導(dǎo)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句，常見(jiàn)的復(fù)合詞是：anywhere, everywhere。

Everywhere I go , I find the same thing.

不管我走到哪里，我都發(fā)現(xiàn)同樣的情況。

With a special train ticket you can travel anywhere you like in Europe .

持有專用火車票，就可以到歐洲你喜歡的任何地方去旅游。

4. 地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)也可以采取無(wú)動(dòng)詞從句結(jié)構(gòu)，如：where(ver) possible, where necessary, wherever feasible。

Where(ver) possible , all moving parts should be tested.

只要有可能，所有的可移動(dòng)的零件都應(yīng)得到測(cè)驗(yàn)。

Wherever feasible , the illustrations have been taken from standard literature.

在可行的情況下，插圖都已經(jīng)從標(biāo)準(zhǔn)文獻(xiàn)中取出了。
