1. where引導的狀語從句表示特定的地點。
1）where = in/on/to/at the place where
You should put the book where it was .
你應該把書本放回原處。
Go where you would like to .
你想去哪里就可以去哪里。
2）where引導的狀語從句經常在謂語動詞后，從句前沒有先行詞。
He lives where he used to.
他就住在他原來住的地方。
3）where引導的地點狀語從句，從句經常出現(xiàn)在主句前。
Where there is smoke, there's fire.
無風不起浪。
4）在狀語從句中，where不能像引導定語從句那樣可與in/on which互換。
She stayed where her father was born.
她呆在他父親的出生地。
2. wherever引導的狀語從句表示非特定的地點。
1）wherever=in/on/to/at any place where。
You can stay wherever you want to.
你可以住在任何你想住的地方。
2）wherever可引導地點狀語從句，也可以引導讓步狀語從句。
They must go wherever we send them.
我們派他們去哪里，他們就得去哪里。
Wherever you go, I go too.
無論你到什么地方，我都去。
3）引導地點狀語從句時，從句總是放在主句的謂語動詞后，而引導讓步從句時，從句總是放在主句前面。
Wherever you go , you should do your work well.
無論你到哪里，你都應該做好工作。
3. 由-where構成的復合詞也可以引導地點狀語從句，常見的復合詞是：anywhere, everywhere。
Everywhere I go , I find the same thing.
不管我走到哪里，我都發(fā)現(xiàn)同樣的情況。
With a special train ticket you can travel anywhere you like in Europe .
持有專用火車票，就可以到歐洲你喜歡的任何地方去旅游。
4. 地點狀語也可以采取無動詞從句結構，如：where(ver) possible, where necessary, wherever feasible。
Where(ver) possible , all moving parts should be tested.
只要有可能，所有的可移動的零件都應得到測驗。
Wherever feasible , the illustrations have been taken from standard literature.
在可行的情況下，插圖都已經從標準文獻中取出了。
