I think that you can pick up from talking to me that I'm not on a different level. Okay? These are pretty simple basic tools. And so nobody out there is listening to him and saying God Dorn, he's just he's just using words and he's just so much smarter than me, so I'm not going to become worth five billion dollars. That book is bullsh*t. Okay? He's just naturally smarter than me.

 

跟我聊天時，你會發(fā)現(xiàn)，我跟你沒什么不同。我談到的那些東西，只是很簡單的基本工具而已。沒有人會邊聽邊想，天哪，同樣是說話，他就比我聰明多了，所以我才不會成為他那樣身價五十億美元的人，他寫的那本書根本就沒什么用，好吧？他天生就比我聰明。

 

I think you can see that I'm no smarter than anybody else in this room. I just use certain little basic tools to be successful every day. Take the word no out of your vocabulary. Worry about your customer, no spare customers. Use the ninety five five rule. Separate yourself from everybody else. Be the bull at whatever you do. You want to be the bull and I don't care if you're in the mail room or if you're the person behind that camera. That I'm gonna be better than anybody else with that camera. And I'm gonna be the best mail carrier and the person who comes up. And it's the most organized and does it the most professional way.

我覺得你應(yīng)該能看得出來，我并沒有比在場的任何人聰明。我只是用了一些基本的工具，它們幫我每天都有所成就。把NO這個單詞從你的詞典里刪掉，多關(guān)注你的客戶，不要理會其他客戶，做事要遵守95%-5%的規(guī)則。不要甘于平庸，要成為你行業(yè)里的佼佼者。你會想成為你行業(yè)里的佼佼者。你可能是郵遞員，可能是攝影師，我不在乎這些。重要的是，你要成為最優(yōu)秀的那個人。告訴自己，我要成為最優(yōu)秀的郵遞員，我的工作是最有條理的，我做事是最專業(yè)的。

 

You can be the bull at any position you're doing, and it's just telling yourself I'm gonna do this better than anybody else. I don't care what the job is. I don't care what you do. you be the bull at what you do. I tell everybody that no matter what your job is that you can go to work every day and separate yourself from anybody else. And it's no different than the sound guy on this set. If you pick up, you know what this sound guy is really really good.

你可以成為你行業(yè)里的佼佼者。你只需要告訴自己，我會做得比別人更好。我不管你是干什么工作的，我不管你以什么為生。你就是要成為自己行業(yè)里的佼佼者。我告訴所有人，無論你的工作是什么，你每天都要努力工作，讓自己與眾不同。就像這里的調(diào)音師一樣，不知道你聽出來沒有，他是個非常優(yōu)秀的調(diào)音師。

 

And he's worried about this and he's worried about that, then all of a sudden you tell somebody you need a good sound guy like this. And then they end up on this person because of a recommendation. All of a sudden this guy is known as the best sound guy in LA, because he's paying attention or she's paying attention to details that the other sound people don't.

他擔(dān)心這個，擔(dān)心那個，但是突然間，你告訴別人，你需要一個像他一樣優(yōu)秀的調(diào)音師，然后人家就雇了這個調(diào)音師，因為有人推薦他。突然間，這個人就成為了全洛杉磯最優(yōu)秀的調(diào)音師，因為他注意到了其他調(diào)音師沒能注意到的細(xì)節(jié)。

 

You know what? You know just the little little little bitty things. And I just think that it's easy to separate yourself from anybody else no matter what your position is. If you go to work for a company and you don't go up the corporate ladder, it's your fault. It's nobody else. So you're either with the wrong company where there's no upward mobility or you should separate yourself.

你知道么，就是那些非常小的細(xì)節(jié)。我認(rèn)為，無論你的職位是什么，想要讓自己與眾不同，都是很容易的事情。如果你在一個公司工作，你沒能晉升，這是你的錯，不怪別人。要么是因為你選擇的公司不夠好，沒有上升空間，要么就是你還需要更努力讓自己與眾不同。

 

Because I know one thing, if you work for me, I'm paying attention. Nothing goes unnoticed. Okay? And I tell people that all the time. If you want to separate yourself, it's easy to do because somebody above you is gonna notice it. Your peers are gonna notice it. It is easy to separate yourself from anybody else.

因為，我知道一個道理，如果你給我打工，我就會留意你的所有表現(xiàn)，明白嗎？我總是跟人們說這個道理，如果你想讓自己與眾不同，這是很簡單的事，因為你的上級會注意到，你的同事會注意到，所以想要讓自己與眾不同是很容易的。
