“10000泰勒!”這位高個(gè)子男人高聲喝道，因?yàn)閼嵟樕戏撼鲎霞t色，雙手痙攣般地緊攥著。

The dealer grew paler; his frame shook with agitation; he made two or three efforts, and at last cried out "Twenty thousand!"

那位畫商臉色更顯蒼白了，身體激動(dòng)地戰(zhàn)栗著。他試著張著嘴，最后喊出“20000泰勒!”

His tall opponent was not to be vanquished. He bid forty thousand.

The dealer stopped; the other laughed a low laugh of insolent triumph, and a murmur of admiration was heard in the crowd.
