上天那張烏云斑駁的臉

Tumultuous rove, the interminable sky

狂風(fēng)漫卷，呼號(hào)彌長(zhǎng)

Sublimer swells, and o'er the world expands

更崇高的東西在膨大，覆蓋世界的是

A purer azure.

更純凈的蔚藍(lán)。

Through the lightened air

透過(guò)輕薄的空氣

A higher luster and a clearer calm,

更高處?kù)陟谏x，更清澈的寧?kù)o

Diffusive, tremble; while, as if in sign

擴(kuò)散，顫抖，仿佛危險(xiǎn)的過(guò)去

Of danger past, a glittering robe of joy,

一絲跡象，光輝燦爛的歡快的長(zhǎng)袍

Set off abundant by the yellow ray,

黃色光束變幻出色彩闌珊，

Invests the fields; and nature smiles revived.

傾灑在田野上，大自然在微笑中復(fù)蘇重生。

T is beauty all, and grateful song around,

這就是美的全部，感激的歌兒在回蕩，

Joined to the low of kine, and numerous bleat

整個(gè)三葉草覆蓋的山谷，

Of flocks thick-nibbling through the clovered vale:

低頭吃草的黃牛群，數(shù)不盡的小羊咩咩叫，

And shall the hymn be marred by thankless man,

圣歌被那些徒勞無(wú)功的人所玷污，

Most favored; who, with voice articulate,

絕大多數(shù)受到眷顧;那些聲音洪亮的人

Should lead the chorus of this lower world?

能帶領(lǐng)這個(gè)墮落的世界齊聲合唱嗎?

Shall man, so soon forgetful of the Hand

很快忘了上帝之手的人

That hushed the thunder, and serenes the sky,

能讓雷聲寂滅，讓天空湛藍(lán)，

Extinguished fed that spark the tempest waked,

熄滅那能喚起暴風(fēng)雨的火花，

That sense of powers exceeding far his own,

力量的感覺(jué)遍布他身上，

Ere yet his feeble heart has lost its fears?
