歡迎你，知更鳥，
With the scarlet breast!
和前胸的一抹橙紅!
In this winter weather
你的巢一定很冷，
Cold must be your nest.
在這樣的天寒地凍。
Hopping o’er the carpet,
面包屑輕輕拾起，
Picking up the crumbs,
地毯上來回直跳;
Robin knows the children
你知道孩子們?nèi)?/p>
Love him when he comes.
盼望著你的來到
Is the story true, Robin,
曾有無家可歸的小孩，
You were once so good
在樹林里過夜，
To the little orphans
小鳥啊，我聽說過，
Sleeping in the wood?

Did you see them lying,
見他們小臉蒼白，
Pale, and cold, and still,
一動(dòng)不動(dòng)躺在地上，
And strew leaves above them
你是否曾經(jīng)用小嘴
With your little bill?
銜來樹葉給他們蓋上?
Whether true or not, Robin,
不管這傳說的真假，
We are glad to see

How you trust us children,

Walking in so free.

When they ask their Father For their bread from heaven.
