"He came," said the guard, and swore that an engine which stood near by was his.

“這人來(lái)后，”那位警衛(wèi)說(shuō)，指天發(fā)誓說(shuō)停放附近的那輛機(jī)車是他的，

He said it was one he had made to go to the moon in, and that it had been stolen from him.

他還說(shuō)，那是他自造的發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)，準(zhǔn)備開(kāi)往月球，后來(lái)卻被人偷走了。

We sent for more help to arrest him, and he fled.

"Well," I replied, with a shudder, "I wish he had approached me in the same way; but he was more cautious at Dantzic."
