We're heading up into the subzero mountains of the Canadian Rockies for a two-day expedition. 我們正前往加拿大落基山脈的高寒的山區(qū) 進行為期兩天的探險

But this time we've not only got the normal film kit,we've also got a load of other toys as well. 此行我們不僅攜帶了常規(guī)的攝制器材 我們還帶了大量的其他玩意

And the reason for that is we're gonna put my body and my survival skills to the ultimate test. 目的在于讓我的身體和生存技能 接受最極端的挑戰(zhàn)

When all the gear has been loaded,we fire up the snowcats and head out into the wilderness. 當所有設備裝載完成 我們發(fā)動雪地車向野外進發(fā)

Our first destination,the mountain ridges. 我們的首個目的地 山脊

Our convoy is heading high towards the snow-covered peaks, 我們的車隊要前往高處 冰雪覆蓋的山峰

where we plan to set off our own full-scale avalanche, 我們計劃在那制造實地雪崩

then cover me with over half a ton of snow to experience firsthand what it's like to be buried alive. 再用超過半噸的大雪把我覆蓋 以親歷冰雪活埋的險境

Hundreds of people get killed in avalanches every year. 雪崩每年帶走數百人的生命

And that number is rising as more and more people venture out into the backcountry,skiing and snowmobiling. 該數字歷年來不斷攀升 因為越來越多的人到野外進行探險 滑雪和駕駛機動雪橇

And I've witnessed avalanches close up before,and they are terrifying. 我曾親眼目睹雪崩傾覆而下 令人膽戰(zhàn)心驚

The quick pileup overloads the underlying snowpack and causes any weak layers beneath the slab to fracture. 迅速的堆積 使底部雪層不堪重負 導致底下脆弱的冰層斷裂
