1、不再傷感的29歲生日

Nancy要過生日了，這個“奔三”的美女心里對生日真是既愛又恨，因為每次過生日的時候，家人、同事和朋友送給她的blessings（祝福）都讓她感到無比幸福，仿佛自己就是世界上最幸福的人?？墒沁@幾年，每到生日臨近，她就感到自己又老了一歲，歲月無情??！美女的擔心也很正常，但時間老人就是這樣，不管你著急也罷，逃避也好，他總是在一刻不停地朝前走。

Time flies!這個周三，就是雙子座的Nancy的29歲生日了。她覺得公司里的同事們應(yīng)該不會有什么舉動，于是計劃著周三下班后邀請幾個好朋友一起go disco dancing（去蹦迪），借這個機會徹底地relax（放松）一下，甩掉工作上的pressure（壓力）。朋友們對她的proposal一致贊成。此刻，Nancy真的很慶幸自己有這么一幫無話不談的“閨密們”，讓她不會在這個城市覺得lonely（孤單）。

周三早上上班的路上，Nancy先到一個客戶那里取調(diào)研材料。回到公司時已經(jīng)11點了，她一邊想著今天要完成的工作，一邊加快了腳步?？伤惶みM辦公室就驚呆了——Marketing Department的所有的同事都圍在門口，一起唱著Happy Birthday to You，把Nancy舉到半空。Nancy好不容易掙扎下來，哭笑不得，她的辦公桌上早已堆滿了大家送的gifts and cards（禮物和賀卡）。What a touching moment!

想來大家為等她來已經(jīng)期待了一上午，Nancy感動得差點哭出來。她剛要向大家致謝，F(xiàn)inance Department的Smith竟不知道從哪里冒了出來。Nancy的assistant宣布：“現(xiàn)在由Smith代表Innovo向Nancy致生日祝詞！”Wow，這么正式，而且還是由公司的元老Smith來祝辭，Nancy還是頭一回受到這樣的禮遇呢！

Smith一副笑容可掬的樣子，拿著一杯紅酒走到中間：

Good morning everyone.

What a special occasion this morning is and what an honor it is to say a few words as a tribute to Nancy as we celebrate her birthday.

Larry Lorenzoni certainly puts birthdays in perspective when he says, "Birthdays are good for you. Statistics prove that the people who have the most live the longest!"

Now, I've been told that a successful speech needs to have a great introduction and a memorable ending, and that both of these should both be close together with not too much in between.

So, ladies and gentlemen, to reiterate what King Henry said to each of his many wives: "I shall not keep you long!"

Nancy, today as we celebrate your birthday, we wish you a magical day that is profoundly happy and richly blessed.
