To finish up is really the same as to finish, but we love in English to use those prepositions as part of these two word verbs. “To finish up”就是“to finish”的意思，但在英語(yǔ)中我們喜歡用這些介詞來(lái)作為由兩個(gè)單詞構(gòu)成的動(dòng)詞的一部分。

So, I finish up, meaning I finish doing what I need to do, and then my wife goes into the bathroom and cleans up. 因此，“I finish up，”意思是我做完了我需要做的事，然后我妻子走進(jìn)衛(wèi)生間去洗漱。

"In the meantime," meaning while my wife is doing that, "in the meantime," "meantime," (all one word) "I walk into the bedroom and get undressed." “與此同時(shí)，”意思是當(dāng)我妻子正在洗漱的時(shí)候，“與此同時(shí)(meantime)，”(一個(gè)字)“我走進(jìn)臥室然后脫下衣服。”

So, when my wife is in the bathroom, "I walk" — at the same time — "into the bedroom and I get undressed." 因此，當(dāng)我妻子在衛(wèi)生間的時(shí)候，“與此同時(shí)，我走進(jìn)臥室然后脫下衣服。”

To get undressed is the opposite of to get dressed. 與脫衣服相對(duì)的是穿衣服。

So, if you get undressed, you take off your clothes. 因此，如果你脫衣服，就是你把身上的衣服脫掉。

"I put my dirty clothes" — the clothes I was wearing — "in the hamper and I put on my pajamas." 我把臟衣服——我穿著的衣服——放進(jìn)臟衣籃里，然后穿上了睡衣。

A hamper, "hamper," as a noun, is a place, usually in your bedroom or bathroom, where you put dirty clothes or dirty towels; we call that a hamper. 臟衣籃(hamper)，作名詞表示一個(gè)地方，通常在你的臥室或衛(wèi)生間，你放臟衣服或臟毛巾的地方;我們稱(chēng)之為臟衣籃。
