A memo, "memo," is short for memorandum, 備忘錄(memo)，是“memorandum”的縮寫，

and it is usually like a letter that you send to someone in your company - in your office. 它通常就像是你寄給你公司某個人的信件。

Your inbox, "inbox," can be a little box on your desk where people put things for you to do, your boss, for example. 你的收件箱(inbox)，可能是放在你桌子上的小箱子，是人們交代事情讓你去做的地方，比方說你老板。

And, when you are done with them, you can put them in your outbox. 當你做完了它們的時候，你可以把它們放進你的發(fā)件箱里。

Those terms, inbox and outbox, are also used for email programs now. 收件箱和發(fā)件箱這兩個術語也用在如今的電子郵件程序當中。

The expression "to start in on" something means to begin to do something. 短語“to start in on something”是開始做某事的意思。

So, I start in on my phone calls, that means that I have many phone calls and I start making them — I begin making them. 因此，“I start in on my phone calls”，的意思是我有很多電話要打，我開始撥打它們。
