Stan Lee, the legendary writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics has died at 95. His creations have made him a real-life superhero to comic lovers all over the world.

Lee began his career in 1939 and created or co-created Black Panther, Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk and Ant-Man, among countless other characters.

If all the comic entertainment products can be traced to one person, it would be Stan Lee. From a cluttered office on Madison Avenue in Manhattan in the 1960s, he helped conjure a lineup of pulp-fiction heroes that has come to define much of popular culture in the early 21st century.
