It's different than in China and it depends more on the individual woman and her family background:美國的情況跟中國很不同。在美國，壓力跟多取決于女生本身的家庭背景

For example, I come from a conservative background. So I got a little bit more pressure to get married: 比如說，我自己的家庭很保守，所以我在這方面會面臨更大的壓力

But there's less societal pressure as a whole to label women as "leftover women": 但社會不會給你貼“剩女”的標簽

Matchingmaking: 相親，但這個詞更多形容父母幫你介紹

適婚對象，就是沒感覺

Marriage material: 適合結(jié)婚的對象，多指工作穩(wěn)定、有房有車這類物質(zhì)條件

It's more common for friends to set you up with someone in the States: 美國，基本上朋友幫你介紹

It's much less common for parents to set you up with someone: 父母不太參與給孩子介紹對象

We don't necessarily feel our parents know who will be best for us, but we have the idea of filial piety: 中國人也不一定覺得父母了解我們想要的，但是要尊崇孝道
