In general, Chinese think girls should be reserved and shouldn't take the first step: 中國人一般覺得女生應(yīng)該矜持，不要主動

Some American girls think that way too: 也有美國女生這樣認(rèn)為

A lot of American girls will give guys a hint which makes them in turn ask them out: 美國女生會暗示男生，讓男的主動追她們

It's all pretty natural when it's starting out: 初期階段都比較自然

They try to keep it casual at first and won't officially say that it's a date: 雙方會比較放松，不會說是跟你出去約會

Keep it low pressure: 這樣沒什么壓力

They won't say "would you like to go on a date with me?" 約人的時候不會用"date"這個詞，因為這樣會有壓力

They will just say "Would you like to grab a coffee with me?""Let's check out a show": 他們會說去喝個咖啡、看個演出、展覽這樣的活動

They will plan a date activity to do something, rather than just a meal: 約會通常是會去做一個事，一個活動，不是就吃頓飯

This way you can slowly get to know each other:這樣大家可以比較自然地慢慢地了解

When a man is going after a woman, he needs to climb over a mountain：男追女，隔重山

When a woman is going after a man, he might think she's too eager：女追男，隔層紗

We think if the girl takes the first step, the guy might not appreciate her as much and might take her for granted: 我們覺得如果女生主動，男的可能比較不會那么珍惜你，會不把你當(dāng)回事兒

American guys will generally pay on the first date: 基本上初次約會，美國男生會買單

If he doesn't even offer to pay, it means he's cheap: 如果他不付，那你遇到了鐵公雞

A guy needs to at least offer to pay: 至少要意思一下

Or maybe he's hinting that you he's not interested anymore: 他不買單的另一種可能，是暗示他已經(jīng)沒興趣了

But a guy is not expected to pay beyond the first few dates: 但是男生幾次約會后，不會再一直買單

有車有房重要嗎?

Gotta have a house and a car: 要有房有車

Some Americans want to settle down, buy a house and build a family: 有些美國人結(jié)婚就想安定下來、買個房、安家立業(yè)

But many have different ideas and don't want to be tied down to a mortgage: 但是很多人不想被貸款捆住
