I'm Glad
A teacher was telling her pupils the importance of making others glad. “Now, children,” said she, “has anyone of you ever made someone else glad?”
“I've made someone glad yesterday.” said a small boy.
“Well done. Who was that?”
“My granny.”
“Good boy. Now tell us how you made your grand mother glad.”
“I went to see her yesterday, and stayed with her for three hours. Then I said to her, ‘Granny, I'm going home,’ and she said, ‘Well, I'm glad’!”

一個老師正在對學生講使別人高興的重要性。 她說：“孩子們， 你們當中有誰讓別人高興過?” “我，老師，”一個小男孩說：“昨天我就使別人高興過。”

【詞匯講解】
1.granny外婆。也可以泛指“老奶奶”： He hands the old granny upstairs and downstairs every day.他每天扶那位老大娘上下樓。
2.glad高興的。也有“使人高興的”的意思： After a long separation, they held a glad meeting.闊別多年之后, 他們舉行了一個令人愉快的聚會。
