有一個男人問一個女藥劑師：“有偉哥嗎?”

偉哥原本是制造用于治療狹心癥的，但接受臨床實驗的 狹心癥病人發(fā)現(xiàn)，它對狹心癥沒用，但他們的另外一個問題---陽萎，解決了。它俗稱藍(lán)色小藥丸，由美國輝瑞(Pfizer)藥廠制造，在通過美國食品兼藥物管理局(FDA/ Food and Drug Administration)檢查后，于1998 年 4 月在美上市。

她回答：“有.”

3. "Does it work?" he asked.

他問道: “它有效嗎?”

5. "Can I get it over the counter?" he asked.

他問：“我可以不需要處方便買到它嗎?”(我可以使它越過柜臺嗎?)

美國醫(yī)藥分類，除了感冒藥、胃藥、維他命等(這類藥稱 為over-the-counter drugs)之外，購買其它藥物必須有醫(yī)生開的處方(prescription)這位男士希望可以不需要處方(over-the-counter)買到偉哥，所以問了這句話這里的“over”是副詞，表示“向那邊”，也就是直接向藥房(drugstore)柜臺購買，不需要醫(yī)生的處方;但是“over the counter”也有“越過柜臺”的意思，而“get it"也有兩個含義，分別是“買到它”和“使它…”。所以這句話也可以翻譯成：我可以使它越過柜臺嗎?

6. "You can if you take two at a thne," she answered.

她回答：“如果你一次吃兩顆的話就可以。”

藥劑師誤會了，她以為他詢問藍(lán)色小藥丸有效到什么地步，吃了以后可以使它變長，長到可以穿越過柜臺嗎?
