If you snooze, you lose, which means if you fall asleep - if you are not awake, you may miss something important. 如果你貪睡，你就會(huì)輸，這意味著如果你睡著了，沒有醒過來，就可能會(huì)錯(cuò)過重要的東西。
You will not win; you will lose if you are sleeping. 如果你睡著，你就不會(huì)贏，你會(huì)輸?shù)簟?/p>
This used to happen to me when I was young, I would snooze, and then I would lose. 我年輕的時(shí)候經(jīng)常遇到這種事。我經(jīng)常睡懶覺，因此輸?shù)粢恍〇|西。
I would miss things because I was sleeping. 我會(huì)因?yàn)樗X錯(cuò)過很多事。
Now I try to stay awake more. 現(xiàn)在我會(huì)爭(zhēng)取少睡會(huì)兒。
Anyway, getting back to Lucy's story, well, she likes to sleep another ten minutes. 好了，回到露西的故事。她喜歡多睡十分鐘。
Her roommate thinks that she's crazy, but she says that using her snooze button in the morning helps her wake up. 她室友覺得她古怪，但她說早上用貪睡按鈕可以幫助自己醒來。
Remember, to wake up, "wake" up (two words), means to stop sleeping. 記住，醒來(wake up)，兩個(gè)單詞，意思是停止睡覺。
Lucy says that she's "a night owl, not an early bird." 露西說她自己是“夜貓子，不是早起鳥。”
A night owl, "owl," means someone who likes to go to bed very late at night - 11:30 p.m., 12 o'clock midnight. 夜貓子(owl)意思是喜歡晚睡的人，通常是晚上十一點(diǎn)半或者半夜十二點(diǎn)才睡。
Someone who goes to sleep very late, we call that person a night owl. 我們把經(jīng)常晚睡的人叫作夜貓子。
An owl is an animal that is normally awake and makes sounds at night. 夜貓子是一種晚上不睡覺還發(fā)出聲音的動(dòng)物。
In English the sound would be "who, who," or "who, who," if it's a boy. 聲音有點(diǎn)像英語里的“who, who”(呼!呼!),而雄性貓頭鷹的叫聲則像“who, who”(嗚!嗚!)。
So, we have the night owl, and that is a term for somebody who stays up late. The opposite would be an early bird. 這就是夜貓子，專門用來形容愛熬夜的人。反義詞就是早起鳥。
An early, "early," bird. An early bird is someone who wakes up and gets up early in the morning. 早起鳥(early bird)是指早睡早起的人。
A night owl will probably get up later in the morning. 夜貓子一般早上起得也很晚。
