We use the expression, to go off, when we are talking about something that makes a large noise, for example, 我們說一個東西會發(fā)出很大的聲音的時候通常用“go off”這個表達，

such as a bell or an alarm clock. 比如鈴和鬧鐘。

You can also have a gun; the gun can go off means the gun fires and makes a noise. 也可能是一把槍，槍響的意思是有人開槍了并且槍發(fā)出很大的聲音。

Well here, we are using this verb, to go off, when we are talking about an alarm clock. 而在這里，我們用動詞詞組go off來描述鬧鐘。

So, her alarm goes off at 6:20 - 20 after 6:00 in the morning - but she hits "the snooze button to sleep another ten minutes." 她的鬧鐘六點二十(早上六點過20分鐘之后)響，但她“按一下‘貪睡按鈕’再睡十分鐘”。

The snooze button, "snooze," button, "button," is something on an alarm clock that allows you to sleep a little more, usually for five or ten minutes. 貪睡按鈕(s-n-o-o-z-e b-u-t-t-o-n)是鬧鐘上的一個按鈕，可以讓你多睡一會，通常是五到十分鐘。

So, it will stop your alarm, and then five or ten minutes later the alarm will go off again. 所以，它會暫時關掉鬧鐘，五到十分鐘之后鬧鐘會再響。

So, that is called the snooze button. The verb to snooze means to sleep, so it allows you to sleep a little extra time. 所以它叫作貪睡按鈕。動詞snooze意思是“打盹兒”，所以貪睡按鈕會讓你多睡一小會兒。
