CNN News: 朝鮮暫時放棄向關(guān)島發(fā)射導(dǎo)彈

We told you the other day how threatening statements between North Korea and the U.S. were going back and forth and how North Korean officials had discussed firing missiles toward the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam. Earlier this week, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Matt is said that if North Korea did that, it would be game on, adding, quote, you don't shoot at people in this world unless you want to bear the consequences.
此前我們曾報道過，朝鮮和美國相互威脅言論危急，朝鮮官員甚至曾討論過要向美國太平洋領(lǐng)土關(guān)島發(fā)射導(dǎo)彈。本周早些時候，美國國防部長吉姆·馬蒂斯表示，如果朝鮮這樣做了，那將導(dǎo)致開戰(zhàn)。他還補(bǔ)充道，“除非想要承擔(dān)后果，否則沒人會向世人開槍。”
Yesterday, North Korea's government-controlled media reported that Leader Kim Jong-un had discussed the Guam proposal with his military officers, but that he'd, quote, watch a little more the foolish and stupid conduct of the Yankees, indicating Kim had backed off the Guam threat for the time being.
昨天，朝鮮政府控制的媒體報道稱，朝鮮領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人金正恩曾與他的軍官討論過打擊關(guān)島的計(jì)劃，但是他表示會“多看看美國佬的愚蠢行為”，這表明金正恩已經(jīng)暫時放棄了對關(guān)島的威脅。
At this point, both North Korea and the U.S. seem to be suggesting that it's up to the other side to determine what happens next.

It's not certain how or if the North will react to the upcoming military exercises between the U.S. and its ally South Korea. Those start next week.
