一流的

“一流的”所表達(dá)的意思就是“最好的,最上等的”,所以用英語就可以表示成first-rate。

Mary becomes a first-rate actress now.

瑪麗現(xiàn)在成了一名一流演員。

對(duì)話

A:Do you like the movie starring Tom?

你喜歡由湯姆主演的那部電影嗎?

B:Sure.He is really a first-rate actor.

當(dāng)然,他不愧是一流演員。

“一流的”還可以用top-ranking

或者只用top來表示

“便裝”就是平時(shí)穿的衣服,所以用英語就可以表示為everyday clothes。

I like wearing everyday clothes to work.

我喜歡穿便裝去上班。

我能穿便裝參加這次會(huì)議嗎?

B:You'd better wear the business attire. /??ta??(r)/

你最好穿正裝。

“便裝”還可以用casual clothes表示

另外,與“便裝”相對(duì)應(yīng)的“正裝”是business attire

裝門面

“裝門面”并不是要去“安裝”(install)什么東西,而是形容“為了表面好看而故意裝飾”,所以可以用put up a front表示。

Although Mr.White is not rich, he always puts up a front.

雖然懷特先生并不富裕,但是他很會(huì)裝門面。

“裝門面”還可以表示成keep up appearances

“打扮”還可以用deck out表示。
