“as cool as a cucumber”是“像黃瓜一樣酷”?

這本書賣得怎么樣?

B:It sells like hot cakes.

它非常暢銷。

如果想要表示“已售完”時

可以用be out of stock這個短語

一清二楚

字面意思就是：像白天一樣清楚

英文釋義：very easy to understand

I can remember as clear as day how i wanted to cancel my lesson that morning.

我可以非常清晰地記得那天早上我如何想取消我的課程。

顯得容光煥發(fā)，看上去十分漂亮

不要直接翻譯成：看起來像一百萬美元

英文釋義：to look very good

As she stepped out in her wedding dress, she looked like a million dollars.

當(dāng)她穿著婚紗走出來時，看起來美呆了。

as light as a feather

輕如鴻毛

直譯：像羽毛一樣輕

light：形容詞，輕的;輕松的

Since she is as light as a feather, I had no problem in carrying her all the way to the hospital.

as light as a feather可以形容各式各樣的東西

如果是形容食品，意思是：清淡的

The white chocolate cake is not that sweet and is as light as a feather.

直譯：就像熱磚上的貓
