有些國家不在12月25日慶祝圣誕節(jié)。他們的圣誕節(jié)不是在1月6日就是在1月7日。

Several countries in Central Asia and Eastern Europe celebrate Christmas 13 days later than the official December 25 date. This is because of the calendar they follow.

中亞和東歐的一些國家慶祝圣誕節(jié)的時(shí)間比官方的12月25日晚13天。這是因?yàn)樗麄冏裱娜諝v不同。

While most of the world follows the Gregorian calendar, these countries follow the Julian calendar. These countries include Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan and Serbia.

圣誕節(jié)不是12月25日?

1、12月6日荷蘭的圣誕節(jié)

英語中圣誕老人稱為Santa Claus，來自荷蘭語Sinter Klass。相傳在公元4世紀(jì)有一位主教名為尼古拉斯，因經(jīng)常給窮人送禮而廣受贊譽(yù)，人們尊稱他為圣尼古拉斯(Saint Nicholas)。尼古拉斯曾經(jīng)把金幣放進(jìn)正在烘烤的襪子里，幫助三個(gè)因貧窮而無法與未婚夫結(jié)婚的女孩出嫁。這正是圣誕老人把禮物放進(jìn)襪子傳統(tǒng)的由來。

為了紀(jì)念他，荷蘭人每年在12月6日前夕舉行慶?；顒?dòng)。所以荷蘭人的圣誕節(jié)時(shí)間為12月6日。由于Sinter Nikolas，聽起來很像Sinter Klass，最終演變成英語圣誕老人Santa Claus。

2、1月7日俄羅斯的圣誕節(jié)

由于俄羅斯人大部分人信奉東正教，而東正教日期采用儒略歷，儒略歷的圣誕節(jié)比傳統(tǒng)圣誕節(jié)要晚13天，所以每年1月7號(hào)俄羅斯才慶祝圣誕節(jié)。

在1月6號(hào)平安夜這天晚上，政商名流都會(huì)前往教堂參加圣誕節(jié)的守夜活動(dòng)。在圣誕節(jié)來臨前的40天是齋期，俄羅斯人會(huì)守齋直至圣誕節(jié)。待到圣誕節(jié)時(shí)會(huì)被奉上12道圣誕大餐，大飽口福。

圣誕節(jié)的習(xí)俗

1、圣誕襪

Christmas socks are usually a pair of big red socks, of any size. Because Christmas stockings are used to hold gifts, they are children s favorite things. In the evening, they will hang their socks by the bed and wait for the gift to be received the next morning.

2、圣誕帽

Christmas hat is usually a red triangle hat. It is said that when you put it on at night, in addition to sleeping soundly and warm, you will find some more gifts from your beloved in the hat the next day.

3、圣誕樹

Decorating a Christmas tree is one of the most famous traditions in Christmas celebrations. Usually people put an evergreen, such as a pine, around Christmas. Decorate with Christmas lights and colorful decorations, and place an angel or star on the top of the tree.

裝飾圣誕樹是圣誕節(jié)慶祝中最有名的傳統(tǒng)之一。通常人們在圣誕前后把一棵常綠植物，例如松樹。用圣誕燈和彩色的裝飾物裝飾，并把一個(gè)天使或星星放在樹的頂上。

4.圣誕大餐

Just like the New Year s Eve dinner, Europeans and Americans also pay attention to family reunion at Christmas. They will sit around the Christmas tree and have a festive meal together. Americans love to eat turkey at Christmas, while the British love to eat roast goose.
