今天我們將討論一些基本的數(shù)學(xué)詞匯。這個(gè)詞匯非常簡單，但是如果你要出國留學(xué)或者你想學(xué)更多的英語，它可以派上大用場。

The first set of words were going to talk about are operations.

我們要講的第一組詞是operations運(yùn)算。

The most common operations are addition, subtraction,

multiplication and division, and those are what we'll talk about today.

最常見的運(yùn)算是加、減、乘、除，這些就是我們今天要討論的。

Addition is when you add two numbers together. This is called a plus sign. So for example, 4 plus 5 equals 9 or if I have 4 and add 5 I get 9.

加法就是兩個(gè)數(shù)相加。這叫做加號(hào)。例如，4 + 5 = 9，或者說我有4，再加5，得到9。

Subtraction is when you subtract one number from another number. This is called a minus sign. So for example 6 minus 4 equals 2 or if I have 6 and take away 4 I get 2.

減法就是用一個(gè)數(shù)減去另一個(gè)數(shù)。這叫做減號(hào)。例如，6 - 4 = 2，如果我有6，拿走4，得到2。

Multiplication is when you multiply one number by another number. For example 4 times 3 equals 12 or

if I multiply 4 by 3 I get 12.

乘法就是用一個(gè)數(shù)乘以另一個(gè)數(shù)。例如，4乘以3等于12，或者4乘以3得到12。

Division is when you divide one number by another

number. For example 12 divided by 2 equals 6 or if I divide 12 by 2 I get 6.

除法就是用一個(gè)數(shù)除以另一個(gè)數(shù)。例如，12除以2等于6，或者12除以2得到6。
