The ghosts patrol the streets in Indonesia s central Java province. The goal is to scare people into staying home to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Problem is, when the initiative started, it only brought more people out to see the ghosts to get pictures for social media.

It takes the volunteers about 10 minutes to transform into ghosts before patrolling the dark streets.
