“低碳經(jīng)濟”是一個具有廣泛社會性的經(jīng)濟前沿理念，最早是在2003年英國政府發(fā)布的能源白皮書《我們能源的未來：創(chuàng)建低碳經(jīng)濟》正式提出的。低碳經(jīng)濟包括低碳發(fā)展、低碳產(chǎn)業(yè)、低碳技術(shù)和低碳生活等經(jīng)濟形態(tài)，是指在不影響經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的前提下，通過技術(shù)創(chuàng)新和制度創(chuàng)新，降低能源和資源消耗，盡可能最大限度地減少溫室氣體和污染物的排放，實現(xiàn)減緩氣候變化的目標，促進人類的可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. The polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

近年來環(huán)境保護仍然有許多問題。最嚴重的問題之一是嚴重的空氣、水和土壤污染。被污染的空氣對人體健康危害很大。污染的水會引起疾病和死亡。更重要的是，隨著現(xiàn)代城市的快速增長植被已大大減少了。

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.

為了保護環(huán)境，各國政府做了很多努力。立法措施已經(jīng)被用來控制空氣污染，保護森林資源和海洋資源，制止任何的環(huán)境污染。因此，在當(dāng)今的環(huán)保中政府起著最重要的作用。

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

在我看來，為了保護環(huán)境，政府必須采取更具體的措施。首先，它應(yīng)該讓人們充分認識到通過教育意識到環(huán)境保護的重要性。第二，應(yīng)該付出更多的努力把計劃生育政策付諸實施，因為人口越多就意味著污染越多。最后，那些故意破壞環(huán)境的人應(yīng)該受到嚴懲。我們應(yīng)該讓他們知道破壞環(huán)境就是毀滅人類自己。

With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas. Because of population expansion and over development, resources has become less and less. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man’s existence.

隨著工農(nóng)業(yè)的發(fā)展，汽車帶來噪音、排放毒氣。由于人口的增長和過度發(fā)展，資源變得越來越少。山上的樹木被砍伐，污水不斷被排入河流。整個地球的生態(tài)平衡正在改變。環(huán)境的巨大破壞已帶來負面影響，甚至對人類生存帶來巨大的威脅。

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems. We hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment.

One day Sun Wukong together with his master and brothers was walking across a river. Suddenly his master fell off the horse by the bad smell of river water. They found the water so dirty that they could hardly breathe.

A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straight into the river which made the river water polluted. In this way most of the fish in the river were killed. If the river water all over the country is polluted like this, no living things will exist in the water. Now more and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is. Our government is doing her best to take measures to fight against pollution. We expect that the water in every river will be made cleaner and cleaner before long.
