Todd: Lois, when are you going back to London, or England?

托德：洛伊絲，你打算什么時(shí)候回英國倫敦?

Lois: I'm going back on the 30th of July.

洛伊絲：我7月30日回去。

Todd: OK, that's coming up pretty soon.

托德：好，那馬上就要到了。

Lois: Just four more weeks. Four weeks from today, I'll be on the plane, on my way home.

洛伊絲：還有四周的時(shí)間。從今天開始算，還有四周的時(shí)間，我打算坐飛機(jī)回家。

Todd: OK, when you go home, what are you going to do?

托德：嗯，你回家以后，打算做什么呢?

Lois: In September I'm going back to college because I want to be a primary school teacher in England, so I have to do a one year course to qualify and then hopefully I'll start teaching the next September back in England.

洛伊絲：我九月要回大學(xué)上課，因?yàn)槲蚁朐谟?dāng)小學(xué)老師，所以我必須要念一年的課程，獲得教師資格，之后我希望可以在明年九月在英國開始教師生涯。

Todd: OK, and what are you going to teach?

托德：好的，你打算教什么課程?

Lois: So, I'm teaching primary so that's all subjects. I'm teaching science and English and math and maybe some French and sports and music and any other subjects they do at eight years old.

洛伊絲：因?yàn)槲沂墙绦W(xué)，所以應(yīng)該會(huì)教授所有的課程。我會(huì)教科學(xué)、英語、數(shù)學(xué)，可能還會(huì)教一些法語還有體育、音樂和其他八歲孩子需要學(xué)習(xí)的課程。

Todd: So, how old will the students be?

托德：那學(xué)生都幾歲呢?

Lois: So I will be trained to teach from 5 to 11, and hopefully I will teach 7 or 8 year olds.

洛伊絲：我接受的培訓(xùn)是教5歲至11歲的孩子，希望我能教7、8歲的孩子。

Todd: Mm, you like kids?

托德：嗯，你喜歡孩子?

Lois: I hope so. Yeah, when I worked in Prague I taught some children's classes and I really, really enjoyed them, so hopefully I will like it in England as well. Although it will be a bit different because I'll have maybe twenty five or thirty students in a class so it might be slightly different to the twelve when I was in Prague.

洛伊絲：是的。我在布拉格工作時(shí)教了一些兒童課程，我非常喜歡，所以我希望我也喜歡在英國教兒童課程。不過這會(huì)有些難度，因?yàn)橐粋€(gè)班里可能會(huì)有25到30個(gè)學(xué)生，而我在布拉格時(shí)教的班級(jí)只有12名學(xué)生，所以情況可能會(huì)有些不同。

Todd: That's a lot. What made you decide to become a teacher?

托德：人數(shù)很多啊。你為什么決定當(dāng)老師呢?

Lois: I'm not really sure because my mother was a teacher and she's trying really hard to convince me that I shouldn't do it because she thinks its too much work but I enjoy talking to people and being around children and teaching so hopefully it will be nice for me.

洛伊絲：我不太確定，我媽媽是老師，她一直試圖說服我，她認(rèn)為我不應(yīng)該當(dāng)老師，因?yàn)樗J(rèn)為老師的工作量太大了，不過我喜歡和人們談話，喜歡和孩子們?cè)谝黄?，也喜歡教學(xué)，所以我希望我能做得很好。
