“Music”是我們生活中必不可少的一種聽覺享受，沒有音樂，生活在某些時(shí)候會(huì)變得索然無味。有了音樂的日子，讓平凡的場景也變得多姿多彩。但是今天學(xué)習(xí)的這個(gè)俚語“Face the music”可不是它字面的意思“面對(duì)音樂”。這個(gè)俗語真正意思可能讓你完全想象不到。
Meaning:
receive criticism or punishment, accept unpleasant consequences of your actions接受批評(píng)或懲罰, 承擔(dān)自己行為的后果;
起源：
這個(gè)短語始于美國19世紀(jì)。據(jù)說是來源于劇場。在舞臺(tái)上，演員經(jīng)常會(huì)由于緊張或怯場而造成忘詞等尷尬的局面，只要音樂一響，演員就沒有任何選擇的余地，只能去face the music（必須承受出現(xiàn)的局面）。人們遂用face the music指承擔(dān)自己行為的后果。
