今天我們來說一個單詞： Visualization，是形象化的意思。偶爾間讀到了施瓦辛格的故事，他從健美冠軍，到電影明星再轉(zhuǎn)戰(zhàn)到政治,職業(yè)生涯的行業(yè)跨度非常大。中國有一句古話叫做：女怕嫁錯郎，男怕入錯行。但是施瓦辛格不管是在哪一行都可以說干的風(fēng)生水起。他究竟有什么秘訣呢？原來答案就是剛才說的到那個單詞：visualization. 今天我們就來聽一下這個故事，希望對你有所啟發(fā)。

Arnold Schwarzenegger was not that famous in 1976 when he met with a newspaper reporter. The reporter asked Schwarzenegger, "Now you've retired from bodybuilding, what do you plan to do next?"
阿諾德·施瓦辛格1976年遇到一位新聞記者時還不是那樣有名。記者問施瓦辛格:“你現(xiàn)在從健美運(yùn)動中退出,下步打算做什么?”
Schwarzenegger answered very calmly and confidently, "I'm going to be the No. 1 movie star in Hollywood.” The reporter was shocked and amused at Schwarzenegger's plan. At that time, it was very hard to imagine how this muscle-bound bodybuilder, who was not a professional actor and who spoke poor English with a strong American Austrian accent, could ever hope to be Hollywood's No 1 movie star.
施瓦辛格非常平靜而自信地回答說:“我打算成為好萊塢頭號電影明星”記者聽到施瓦辛格的打算既震驚又覺得可笑。當(dāng)時,很難想象這位肌肉結(jié)實(shí)的健美運(yùn)動員,既不是職業(yè)演員,英語說得又差勁,還帶有很重的奧地利口音,怎么可能有希望成為好萊塢頭號電影明星呢。
So the reporter asked Schwarzenegger how he planned to make his dream come true, Schwarzenegger said, "I'll do it the same way I became the No.1 body builder in the world. What I do is to create a vision of whom I want to be, and then I start living like that person in my mind as if it were already true." Sounds almost childishly simple, doesn't it? But it worked! Schwarzenegger did become the No .1 highest-paid movie star in Hollywood!
所以,當(dāng)記者問施瓦辛格如何打算使夢想成真時。施瓦辛格說:“我會像當(dāng)初成為世界頭號健美運(yùn)動員樣去做。我要做的就是創(chuàng)造一個自己想做的那個人的形象,然后像我心里想的那個人那樣開始生活。”聽起來是不是很幼稚很簡單?但起作用了施瓦辛格真的或了好萊塢收入最高的電影明星。
