1.finish有“完成”、“結(jié)束”的意思，要是和某人finish了，意思就是兩人關(guān)系結(jié)束了。

分手信“Dear John letter”的文化梗：
所謂“Dear John letter”是指一個(gè)女子寫給丈夫或男友表示分手的信件，通常是在寫信人另有所愛的情況下所寫，且往往寫信人不能夠或不想要當(dāng)面告知男方這一情況。反之，如果是寫給妻子或女友告知分手的信，則被稱作“Dear Jane letter”。
While the exact origins of the phrase are unknown, it is commonly believed to have been coined by Americans during World War II. "John" was the most popular and common baby name for boys in America every single year from 1880 through 1923, making it a reasonable 'placeholder' name when denoting those of age for military service.
關(guān)于Dear John等于分手信的來歷其實(shí)說法不一，但是人們普遍認(rèn)為這個(gè)說法是從美國在二戰(zhàn)時(shí)候發(fā)明的。“約翰”是自1880-1923年最流行的男嬰的名字。這也就正是當(dāng)時(shí)適齡參軍的人最普遍的名字。
