【BEC寫(xiě)作】舉例說(shuō)明:商務(wù)寫(xiě)作中的“7C原則”(1)

著名的7C原則:

Clarity清楚、Correctness準(zhǔn)確、conciseness簡(jiǎn)潔、completeness完整、courtesy禮貌、concreteness具體、consideration體貼。

注意:在商務(wù)函件中,傳達(dá)的內(nèi)容和傳達(dá)的方式同等重要。

原則一Concreteness 具體

盡量使用明確、具體的詞匯。這樣你的信函將更為專(zhuān)業(yè)、準(zhǔn)確、有趣并且有力。(由于有時(shí)需要使用某種外交手段,可能會(huì)反其道而行之。)

舉例:

 

 

原則二 Clarity 清楚

“清楚”在于“在正確的場(chǎng)合使用正確的詞匯”,具體而言:

1 使用短小、熟悉并且在會(huì)話中經(jīng)常使用的詞匯,然后將其有效地組句成段。

2 一句話不要講述過(guò)多的思想,一句話最多講一個(gè)點(diǎn)。

3 每句話不超過(guò)17-20個(gè)詞。

4 如果情況允許,可以使用一些直觀輔助,像舉個(gè)栗子、做個(gè)圖表等等。

現(xiàn)在,試試將下面意義相同的詞匯配對(duì)~

 

 

原則三 Correctness 準(zhǔn)確

“準(zhǔn)確”指沒(méi)有錯(cuò)誤:即數(shù)據(jù)、陳述和意見(jiàn)都準(zhǔn)確清晰。此外,“準(zhǔn)確”還指撰寫(xiě)人在拼寫(xiě)、語(yǔ)法、標(biāo)點(diǎn)以及格式上都沒(méi)有問(wèn)題。

試一試完善以下例句~

1.Well chosen words are likely to be short and natural words.

2.The principals of effective letters and memorandums are similiar.

3.An efficient and concerned personal department builds employee morale.

4.The box, together with the baskets, were sent to the shipping room.

5.Jim and Paul are good friends of Mary and I.

6.In countries where two or more languages co-exist confusion often arises.

改善~

1.Well-chosen words are likely to be short and natural words.

原則四 Conciseness 簡(jiǎn)潔

簡(jiǎn)潔指在不違背其他C原則的前提下盡量使用最少的的詞匯來(lái)表達(dá)自己的意思。

簡(jiǎn)潔的反面就是Wordiness(冗長(zhǎng)),一般有三種情況:

A.circumlocution

(委婉迂回)使用過(guò)長(zhǎng)的表達(dá)

B.vague qualifiers(模糊修飾語(yǔ))使用沒(méi)有意義形容詞和副詞

C.padding

(補(bǔ)白)表達(dá)沒(méi)有意義,只是填補(bǔ)空缺

改改改~

1.I have caused enquiries to be made with a view to establishing the reasons for our inability to supply your order.

2.That is really productive meeting.

Key:

1.I have enquired into the reason why we can’t supply your order.

2.That is a productive meeting.

How to be concise?

1. 一個(gè)詞替代詞組

In the near future--soon; will you be kind enough to--please

2. 避免一些which/that 從句

The receipt that is enclosed documents(V.) your purchase.

改The enclosed receipt documents your purchase.

3. 同一句話避免使用相同的詞匯

Please quote your best price for your best quality.

改Please quote your lowest price for your best quality.

4. 避免無(wú)意義的表達(dá)

Please be advised that your admission statement was received.

改Your admission statement was received.

5. 避免不必要的介詞短語(yǔ)

The issue of most relevance is teamwork.

改The most relevant issue is teamwork.

6. 控制被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)的使用

The total balance due(總額) will be found on page 2 of this report.

改The balance due is on page 2 of this report.

改You will see the balance due on page 2.

首先來(lái)復(fù)習(xí)下上期最后的一個(gè)原則Conciseness簡(jiǎn)潔~

練習(xí)一

練習(xí)二

1. I’m sorry to inform you of the fact that your order is delayed due to the fact that the weather is not good.

2. Graduates who are the ones with the highest grade point average will be the first ones who will be interviewed.

3. The memorandum is written for the purpose of telling you that we have received your request.

KEY

1. I’m sorry to inform that your order is delayed because of the bad weather.

2. Graduates with the highest GPA will be interviewed firstly.

3. The memorandum is to tell you that we have received your request.

在遵循簡(jiǎn)潔原則的時(shí)候,也不要一味追求簡(jiǎn)單,也應(yīng)該注意要點(diǎn)完整,意思清晰沒(méi)有歧義哦~

原則五 Completeness 完整

完整包括所有有關(guān)“who、what、where、when、why以及how”的信息。

比如寫(xiě)一封order的時(shí)候,我們應(yīng)該考慮貨物是什么,什么時(shí)候需要,貨物由誰(shuí)運(yùn)輸然后誰(shuí)接收,最后以什么樣的付款方式。

原則六 Courtesy 禮貌

禮貌不僅要求我們用禮貌用語(yǔ),避免沖撞對(duì)方,而且也需要我們充分考慮收件人的心情以及對(duì)方的考慮,后部分和consideration的要旨是一致的。

How to be courteous?

? 及時(shí)回信

? 避免使用冒犯的語(yǔ)言(例如帶有歧視的語(yǔ)言)

? 脾氣溫和

? 多為對(duì)方考慮

? 體現(xiàn)對(duì)方能獲得的益處

? 強(qiáng)調(diào)積極怡人的信息

? 誠(chéng)實(shí)完整

原則七 Consideration 體貼
