英特爾公司[1] ，是美國(guó)一家主要以研制CPU處理器的公司，是全球最大的個(gè)人計(jì)算機(jī)零件和CPU制造商，它成立于1968年，具有46年產(chǎn)品創(chuàng)新和市場(chǎng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的歷史。1971年，英特爾推出了全球第一個(gè)微處理器。微處理器所帶來(lái)的計(jì)算機(jī)和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)革命，改變了整個(gè)世界。在2015年世界五百?gòu)?qiáng)中排在第182位。[2]

2014年2月19日，英特爾推出處理器至強(qiáng)E7 v2系列采用了多達(dá)15個(gè)處理器核心，成為英特爾核心數(shù)最多的處理器。[3] 2014年3月5日，Intel收購(gòu)智能手表Basis Health Tracker Watch的制造商Basis Science。[4] 2014年8月14日，英特爾6.5億美元收購(gòu)Avago旗下公司網(wǎng)絡(luò)業(yè)務(wù)。2015年12月斥資167億美元收購(gòu)了Altera公司。

2016年4月底，英特爾公司發(fā)言人證實(shí)，原定在2016年推出的移動(dòng)處理器凌動(dòng)產(chǎn)品線的兩個(gè)新版本將會(huì)取消發(fā)布，換言之，英特爾將會(huì)退出智能手機(jī)芯片市場(chǎng)。[5]

2016年7月，英特爾宣布該公司歷史上規(guī)模最大的裁員計(jì)劃，準(zhǔn)備削減1.2萬(wàn)人。

Intel Corporation is a technology company based in Santa Clara, California. It is the world's largestsemiconductor chip maker and the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors that are found in most personal computers. The company was founded in 1968 by Gordon E. Moore (of "Moore's Law" fame) and Robert Noyce. They wanted to call their company Moore Noyce butdecided that sounded too much like “more noise”. Instead, they opted for a combination of “integrated electronics”. Intel also produces flash memory and graphic chips. Intel's "Intel Inside” slogan has made the chip maker a household name. Intel’s new slogan “Sponsors of Tomorrow” signals their goal of leading technical innovation. Intel’s website says: “We believe that technology makes life more exciting…Therein lies the endless opportunity.”
