　　雅虎(Yahoo!，NASDAQ：YHOO)是美國(guó)著名的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)門(mén)戶(hù)網(wǎng)站，也是20世紀(jì)末互聯(lián)網(wǎng)奇跡的創(chuàng)造者之一。其服務(wù)包括搜索引擎、電郵、新聞等，業(yè)務(wù)遍及24個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)，為全球超過(guò)5億的獨(dú)立用戶(hù)提供多元化的網(wǎng)絡(luò)服務(wù)。同時(shí)也是一家全球性的因特網(wǎng)通訊、商貿(mào)及媒體公司。

　　雅虎是全球第一家提供因特網(wǎng)導(dǎo)航服務(wù)的網(wǎng)站，總部設(shè)在美國(guó)加州圣克拉克市，在歐洲、亞太區(qū)、拉丁美洲、加拿大及美國(guó)均設(shè)有辦事處。

　　Yahoo! is one of the biggest Internet service companies in the world. It is one of the top search engines and e-mail providers. Yahoo! was founded in 1994 by Jerry Yang and David Filo. They originally named it "Jerry and David's Guide to the World Wide Web" but changed it to "Yahoo!" Officially, ‘Yahoo’ means "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle". They chose the word because it has a generally understood meaning worldwide. The company has assets valued at $15 billion and employs 15,000 people around the world. The Yahoo! website says the company is very customer focused: “We respect our customers above all else and never forget that they come to us by choice…We listen and respond to our customers and seek to exceed their expectations.”
